1970s – 20" Leather Patchwork Chess Board

This vintage chess board has lots of character and pairs wonderfully with vintage chess sets. It was constructed in a leather patchwork technique where each square is a separate piece of leather patched to another. Noticeable brush marks from the staining/tanning process and some paint flecks, scrapes and tears from age and use.

The chess set shown in the video is by Carl Auböck and can be found in my shop.
