This sleek Art Deco cigarette box by Chase, known as the "Rollaround" (model 841), epitomizes American modernist design from 1934. The streamlined satin nickel exterior features distinctive concentric circle etching that perfectly captures the machine-age aesthetic of the period. Designed with ball bearing feet that allowed it to roll smoothly across table surfaces (they don't roll too well now, but some lubrication may fix that!).
The interior has three compartments lined with warm wood. A great sophisticated piece that look great on a cocktail cart, bookshelf, or desk—perfect for storing small treasures, jewelry, or maintaining its original purpose.
Condition –
A couple minor dents, a small gash on the lid edge. Under the lid, two corner brackets are missing, but do not effect the utility of the piece.
