1930s – Modernist French Deschamps Frères silverplate cigarette or trinket box with large art matchbox

This silver plate cigarette case and matchbox holder was created by Deschamps Frères, Paris, in the 1930s (marking in the last photo). At the top a large matchbox holder can be slid in for quick access with cigarettes stored within the box. The top of the box has a frame decoration which highlights the artwork on the matchbox. I've never come across a cigarette box quite like this! A great modernist and functional design.

Condition –
The silver plate box is in excellent condition with nice tarnishing. The matchbox does have a tear at the top as shown in the photos. Overall great condition.
